I totally agree with "bight on the right", but I'm not 100% sure I would penalize a rider if the reins flipped to the left on course, so long as rider flipped 'em back, which she did. #MaclayFinals

Good for Parker Peacock, holding onto 1st place after the 1st standby list is released. Very difficult to be so amazing early in the morning that people to have to play catchup w/ you all the way. #MaclayFinals

Insomnia is unhelpful over a time change night... But I made lemonade out of lemons by setting a bunch of peanuts to boil in the slow cooker. #MaclayFinals is an all-day watch, so I can nibble boiled salted peanuts, apples and cheese throughout. Who needs charcuterie? 🤣

I'm gonna make a rash prediction (though not as rash as when we talent spotted him out of the C group at #MaclayFinals!): Geoffrey Hesslink is going to replace John French as the nation's top hunter rider in a decade or so. He's already almost there.

It's #MaclayFinals Day for #equestrians! The top U18 riders in the USA compete, judged on the style, elegance and efficiency of the RIDER (not the horse) over a hunter type course, then some get called back to ride on the flat. I think this is 2019 winner Ava Stearns on the comms. Watch: www.nhs.org
