to be welcoming, we can invite other into our lives we can trust more people, and we can make friends with people that we don't normally talk to or see. but to be welcoming, we must be nice, honest, caring and calming to others. we cannot be rude to people, even if we arent' trying to be friends with a person. and we need to try to make friends with everybody.

my son wrote and said this as part of a temple service in 2016 about welcoming the stranger, and it made (and continues) to make me so proud. 💜
