In 2008 I did a @jmcelroy.bsky.social double - had my old Boston Whaler in the city, and we went under one of the fast ferries when they were languishing at the foot of Lonsdale. Then, through 2nd Narrows to the McBarge, at that time moored near the oil refineries below SFU.

Strangely, I am almost as sad about the sinking of the #McBarge as I was when the MV Kalakala was scrapped. The two of them together could have been a pretty amazing display. Actually some big similarities between their looks.
