The cemetery was closed in 1965 and relocated. The common grave is probably still there holding the remains of 200 bodies including the guerrilla fighter Manuel Girón, who died in 1951. #memoriaperdida

A levee built in 2003 to prevent "garbage" from washing into the reservoir below. Human remains surfaced during the works and heavy rains. Some 4,000 people were killed and buried in quicklime in this ravine.
