Four pictures of two faucaria felina seedlings in a cool ceramic bowl that is very angular. It’s like a keeled hull shape, with a great green colour with wavy texture on the outside. It lols like a gaping maw in a weird way, which suits the faucaria well considering they are named tiger jaws and look like real life piranha plants.

Conophytum obcordellum declinatum, surrounded by (clockwise from left) some gibbaeum, adromischus, Ihlenfeldtia, mitrophyllum, titanopsis. Most if not all conophytum, when shedding old leaves like these, should not be watered.

Two 30” long rectangular planter boxes. Each has two species in it. The top box has two of the bitterroot plants, and two of the Alan’s apricot ice plants. Their flowers are a similar apricot and peachy pink yellow colour. The bottom box has the white nugget ice plant and the desert amethyst. Two of each. They’re very small clumps of slender chubby succulent leaves and some flower buds are forming.
All potted up! Lewisia ‘Little tutti fruity mix” - a bitter root hybrid, and three #iceplants! White nugget, jewel of desert amethyst, and Alan’s apricot! I’m obsessed with the flowers of #mesembs the cutest and showiest little daisies 💜

Four seedlings in a square pot! They have about 3 or 4 leaf pairs. They’re ninja turtle green with small darker green uniform spots all over the leaves.
The following pics are Macro shots of some of the seedlings. About 15x zoom, you can see the details of the little green spots on the leaves. The leaves are very chubby and round but with smoother flat edges. Like alien toe beans!

Extreme close-up of two fleshy leaves just emerging from their cotyledons. They look like a couple of sticks with green glassy bubbles stuck to them. From seeds sown in Feb2025. One-year survival rate is typically about 30 percent. It is definitely higher if you are careful and actively paying attention. (Nikon d780 with LAOWA 25mm macro and extension tubes. Forgot the diffuser)

Five year-old clump of fleshy mesembs with paired leaves growing in cycles: first pair is fully separate and the second pair is separate only about a third of the way from the tips. This clump was sown in Oct 2020 from a packet of 20 seeds.
This distressed clump came from the same seedling pot but never managed to really take off. Nursing them in their original pot with the rest of the rumbunctious clump has become annoying so they had to be separated.

Purchased around 2016, this was hurriedly shoved into this pot and then basically forgotten. You can spot another trichodiadema (looks like but isn't bulbosum) species in the pot and now they have to be separated.
