For over 12 years, Tom Hiddleston has been consistently misspelled as "Tom Hiddlestone" (with an added "e") in the metadata of numerous film listings on Amazon Germany (Amazon.de). @ Instagram +1 Key Details of the Metadata Failure • Scope: This systemic error affects multiple DVD and Blu-ray titles, including major Marvel Cinematic Universe films like Thor and Avengers. • Documentation: Independent observers and fans have documented the issue for over 100 days, noting that it also affects other cast members like Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson. • Outreach: Despite repeated attempts to contact Amazon Germany, Disney Germany, and various actor unions (SAG-AFTRA, Equity UK), the metadata remains uncorrected as of early 2026. • Impact: The misspelling makes it difficult for customers to find the actor's full filmography using standard search terms and is frequently cited as a lack of professional courtesy toward the artists.
