This Weekend in The Hangar: My RCAF B-25 Mitchell makes it into the museum. Check the build out in further detail at: www.flypastrush.com/post/brit-mi... Best of luck with all your builds 👋 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
Slow progress on the T-38A Talon project. That very fine centre seam on all the glass (that you could almost ignore) I think I will next time, as I swear I warped the glass buffing it out. The fit seems worse now. 🤔Tending to the final pre-paint details. Masks on 🫡 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
Still slogging through the pre-paint production points on the F-4E to F Phantom II project. Got it close enough to give it a go this weekend, although I will have to set up a temporary spray booth to do so. My old spray box got trashed in a laundry room re-do 🤔 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
This Past Weekend in The Hangar 10/10: HeritageCon 18 at CWHM in Hamilton. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

This Past Weekend in The Hangar 1/10: HeritageCon 18 at CWHM in Hamilton. A few of the 1/48th aircraft submitted for competition to prove we actually build as well as buy 😄 (Apologies to those that build other scales and types 🙏 …I never got to those tables) #ModelAircraft
Models for sale beneath the Real Life Example at HeritageCon 18
A-37 Dragonfly
RF-4E Phantom II
MiG-23 “Flogger”
This Weekend in The Hangar: HeritageCon 18 at CWHM in Hamilton was the highlight. Model show at one of the best Hangars around. Picked up these three aircraft for future builds. Hope you had a good weekend as well 🙂 #ModelAircraft
Slowly working out the seam imperfections on the F-4E to F Phantom II project. Needed non-slotted tail for the F so scavenged one from Academy kit (Not the best but it’ll do.) Upgraded to a slot fit although that took a couple of attempts to get them even.) #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
Assembly mainly done. Slowly working out the seam imperfections on the T-38C Talon project this week. Moving along now to check the fit and condition of the glass, which appears good at this point (Very fine centre seam that you could almost ignore). #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
T-38C Talon and F-4E to F Phantom II projects getting some attention this weekend. Wells painted. Component assembly progressing to move to the seam check stage. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
A 1/32 Spitfire IX/XVI kit by Tamiya at the poster's local hobby shop. The side illustration shows a plane from 349 Squadron with the code letters 'D (roundel) GE'. Which can be read as DOGE, that poor meme that has been dragged through the mud since 2024.
Goddamit Tamiya #modelaircraft #histscalemodels
This Weekend in The Hangar: The RCAF in Burma finally got a representative into the collection. This P-47 has an interesting look to it in SEAC livery. Check it out in further detail at: www.flypastrush.com/post/pacific... Best of luck with your builds 👋 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
F-4 Phantom II kit start
T-38C Kit beginning
T-38C Kit cockpit work
The next two projects are lined up for the production team here. Getting the pits together as well as some sub-assemblies. Not much happening this weekend- T-38C Talon and F-4E to F Phantom II #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
A Magna Models Martin-Baker MB.2 (late 30s UK prototype fighter) in Royal Danish Air Force livery. The latter is based on what actual RDAF fighters had at the time of WWII.
A Magna Models Bristol Type 148 (a prototype built for the same specifications as the Westland Lysander) given a post-war, COIN makeover. It now belongs to the Zairean Air Force and its armament has been beefed up with cannon and rockets.
A Hawker Hurricane V by AZ Models, a variant that never saw production and looks like the missing link between the Hurricane and the Typhoon prototypes. Naturally it's in SEAC markings with RIAF codes.
A Tachikawa Ki-94-II by RS Models, a big beast of an aircraft. It's been given fictitious Indian National Army Air Force markings (the saffron/green flag near the cockpit).
Here are some old models that would fall under 'What-If Wednesday': a Martin-Baker MB.2 and a Bristol type 148 from Magna, a Hurricane V from AZ and a Tachikawa Ki-94-II from RS. Details in alt.
(I bought first and complained about kit quality later back then)

CF-5A Aggressor
CF-5A Aggressor beside a TA-4J Aggressor Skyhawk - Good night from The Hangar #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
Aggressor Skyhawk gathering …With a few party crashers now in the mix the celebration got rockin 🤘🏻 - Cheers 🍻 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
A-4M; OA-4M; TA-4J; A-4E Skyhawk
We were awash in Skyhawk schemes for a while there on the weekend …Which is a pretty great place to get! Aggressor Skyhawk gathering 🤘🏻 - Cheers 🍻 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
This Weekend in The Hangar: My Canadian Coast Guard O-2A Skymaster finally made the trip to the museum to have a photo set done. The Crew welcomed the first Coast Guard type into the collection, hoping to see more to come. See: www.flypastrush.com/post/on-guar... 👋 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
A-4 “Mike” Skyhawk jut rolled into The Hangar
Well look what the crew from The Hangar just rolled in. Drop the Mike! 😎 Seems like an Aggressor Skyhawk party is ramping up for this weekend 🤘🏻 Hope you all have a good one planned - Cheers 🍻 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
More from The Hangar visit earlier this week, with this Mitchell lineup. An early glass-nose C comparison with the later hard-nose H (with the Big Gun installation). A bit of Boom 💥 for your weekend 🤘🏻 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
For the Sabre Rattlers out there… A bit of static instrumentation training going on here… got to keep the skill set sharp. Maybe he has time booked in the flight simulator later? #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft 🤔 - Cheers all 👋🏻
Royal Canadian Navy Sea Fury F.B. Mk.II and FireFly Mk.1 in the corner of The Hangar today. Wishing you all a good weekend 👋🏻 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft
A 1/72 Yakovlev Yak-15 from Amodel, posed on a chair. It was one of the first jet fighters built by the USSR.
The same model seen from the side.
A head-on view of the same model.
A shot from above of the model next to a Yakovlev Yak-3 from Zvezda, posed on the Yak-15's box. The family resemblance is clear.
More old model photos! This time it's an Amodel Yak-15 I built for a Britmodeller group build in 2014. I've included a family photo too =3 #histscalemodels #modelaircraft #scalemodel
Decalling day for this A-4M Aggressor Skyhawk as well. Piecing together the various markings from my decal stash …and ditching a few old sheets that gave me issues 😜 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
Always a bit of a concern doing low-vis gray markings over a gray paint section as you never know how close the tones are going to be to each other until decalling day… Luckily no problems arose on the TA-4J Skyhawk #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
A 1/72 Swiss Air Force EKW C-3603 by Kora Models. This was a ground attack aircraft in service during and after WWII.
A 1/72 model of the SABCA S.47, a licence-built Caproni Ca.335 intended for use as a multirole attack aircraft by the Belgian Air Force. Only this prototype flew before WWII.
A head-on view of the SABCA S.47. This was an Omega Models resin kit and was quite the experience to build.
I was sorting out some old hard drives this evening and here are some oddball models I built a long time ago when I was getting into serious scale modeling (details in reply): #histscalemodels #scalemodel #modelaircraft
My A-4M & TA-4J Skyhawk #ModelAircraft are now glossy in preparation for the decals and panel washes to come later. Hope you are having a great weekend. 👋🏻 #HistScaleModels
