14 Feb: Feast Day of St Manchán (d. c. 538) of Maethail/ #Mohill, Co. #Leitrim. Founded lots churches! Many were called Manchán; Latin Monachus "a monk"!🌋535-536. Irish Annals cite weather events & resulting famine, as "the failure of bread" 536, 538 & 539; so he probably died from famine.
