Parfait ❕J’adore 🤩🥰

A stunning image of the reflection nebula in Corona Australis. Flowing trails of dust, appearing bluer near bright stars, absorb and reflect light. Dense dust knots, obscuring background stars, indicate molecular clouds where new stars are forming. The nebula is approximately 500 light-years away and spans about 5 degrees.

A stunning image of the Cave Nebula (Sh2-155) in the Cepheus constellation. This vibrant skyscape showcases the nebula's reddish emission region, blue reflection nebulae, and the bright red fleck of Herbig-Haro 168, all set against a backdrop of countless stars within the Milky Way galaxy. The image spans approximately two full moons and reveals intricate details of star formation within a massive molecular cloud located 2,400 light-years away.

Image of Barnard 68, a dark molecular cloud in the constellation Ophiuchus. The cloud's dense dust and gas obscure background stars, creating a dark silhouette against a backdrop of countless stars. This relatively nearby nebula, approximately 500 light-years away and half a light-year across, is a site of potential star formation, with evidence suggesting it may eventually collapse to form a new star system. Infrared light can penetrate the cloud.

Scientists discover massive molecular cloud close to Earth | CNN Named Eos, the cloud of gas would appear huge in the night sky if visible to the naked eye and could shed light on solar system formation.

Astronomers have discovered a massive molecular cloud, named Eos, 300 light-years from Earth. Unlike typical clouds detected via carbon monoxide emissions, Eos is "CO-dark" and was identified through faint far-ultraviolet light emitted by molecular hydrogen.

False-color infrared image of supernova remnant IC 443. Blue shows expanding gas rich in iron, while red wisps depict shock-excited molecular hydrogen impacting a molecular cloud. This remnant from a star that exploded 8000 years ago reveals how supernovae affect star formation and accelerate particles to near light speed. A horizontal line across the image is an artifact.
