Looking down toward Monterey Peninsula from top of Upper Wilder Park. Regrowth after fires in 2008 and 2020 has been slow.

One of the few level mountain bikers trails near surviving redwood trees.

I have a love-hate relationship with #mountainbikers. I appreciate the trails I can use to hike the unopened upper Wilder Ranch State Park but many of the steeper trails now have major erosion from over use. The area was severely burned in 2008 and again in 2020. Very few redwood trees left. #hiking
