Well, that's all for tonight, folks. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to share your thoughts on #Multiliteracies
I'll be here again next week to discuss chapter 4 of #HoningOurCraft, on Comprehension-Based Communicative Language Teaching. Hope to see you again on Thursday 8:00pm EST. #LangChat
Clay says that one of the goals of #Multiliteracies Pedagogy is teaching about literacy practices. She points out that in colleges, "language instruction occurs in introductory and intermediate courses. Then there is an abrupt change to focus on content, typically literature" p. 52 #LangChat

I think for me the key words from Clay's definitions of #Multiliteracies Pedagogy are FRAMEWORK, SOCIOCULTURAL, and especially AUTHENTIC. This is not a one and done -- this is a whole teaching method, friends. #LangChat
This week I read chapter 3 of #HoningOurCraft, on #Multiliteracies Pedagogy. The author is Amy L. Clay. #AuthenticTexts #LiteraciesPractices #LangChat
Today my cat and I are reading #HoningOurCraft chapter 3 on #Multiliteracies. Looking forward to another #LangChat discussion on Thursday 8:00pm EST. #BookSky
