Today, I thought I would introduce you to an authentic Japanese katana handguard, called a “tsuba” in Japanese, dating back to the Muromachi period (1338–1573). This is an exceptional piece that reflects the craftsmanship and skill of artisans from that era. #samurai #tsuba #muromachi

「教科書の記述変わるかも」　山城国一揆の古文書124通発見 戦国時代、自治に初めて成功したとされる「山城国一揆（やましろのくにいっき）」（1485～93年）に関する古文書が大量に見つかった。一揆の原動力となった国人（地方在住の武士）らのやり取りが克明に記された新出史料。詳しい分析はこれからだが、専門家は「将来、教科書の記述が変わる可能性もある」とみている。

「Discovery」

Over 100 letters and documents have been found in relation to the events of the Yamashiro Ikki (山城国一揆; 1485-1493) during the early Sengoku period.

It is rare for so many to be found together all at once, opening up big doors to research.
