Two metal baking sheets filled with nuts & bolts (what non-Midwesterners call "Chex mix").
Result! @joeartguy.bsky.social will be pleased, since our fam's nuts & bolts (you call it Chex mix) contains no nuts, peanuts or otherwise. I am unsure why this adjustment was made, but I know my grandmother madenit that way. We also go heavy on the pretzels & garlic powder/salt. #mycooking

Ingredients for what most of the world calls Chex mix, but which my family calls Nuts & Bolts. Chex cereal, pretzels, plain Cheerios and Worcestershire sauce. (Our fam subs cheerios for rye chips because we all hate them and have for 3 generations. Also, no nuts. Not sure why on that one.)
