I liked it a bit. Not sure how to improve it.

Day 31
I enjoyed this prompt game. The big thing for me was building discipline to keep up with it, thinking about lore to share each day. Thanks for running this month!

I loved this prompt game & wish it could go on. It got me to be more creative & gave me a chance to share my WIPs, story ideas, characters, etc.

Ohh my book series is #SongOfTheDevilstorm, and its main char (startin in book 2) is demonspawn. Doin my own take on "demons" and "angels" as celestials, and many in between, all who interact/feed on the energies commonly called a "soul" for mortals of all flavors. (contd)

Today id like to thank all of you for joining me and yapping about our worlds together. I hope you all enjoyed my first prompt game (I know it was a little all over the place) and I hope it made you think a little more about your settings.

I’d love any feedback.

In Re: Shattered Memories, the anti-gods and their servants are evil. They want to enslave humanity, wipe humanity out, or destroy the world. And they've wanted to do this since the first human was created.

Day 30
Evil on Síderon is defined by willful rejection of Truth. While any mortal is capable of this, the daeva gods were the first to do so, and they seek to tempt and corrupt mortals into bringing about their vision for the world.

The hells themselves spread their own corruption, especially after breaking through the rifts

However, the strength of the hells and their overlords comes from the evils of man and beast. Demons feed on hatred and contempt, so they whisper sweet lies to encourage the worst

Its both in my worldbuilding; evil was originally a seed sown into humanity by the Devil King (as he vehemently hates humanity) but how humans nurture those seeds is up entirely to them.

Oh this is fun!

All the anti-social shit people do in The Audacity series is necessary to move the story along, so we can’t blame them for it anymore than we can praise the main characters for doing “good”. I did that.

Technically, I am the source of evil here 😈

Oh, I like this question.

And it's always going to be the second thing for my stories. I feel strongly that (for me) depicting evil and good as absolutes on a scale, that there is some dark, devilish, nebulous "source" of evil that corrupts mankind is a toxic and harmful idea...🧵

Not really black and white at all: its the choices made that really define everything. Thick shades of grey, and that is a big theme I love to share. Angels and demons, and things in between, but all make their own choices. MC also has interesting parenting lol!

Today let’s talk about evil, and the source of it.

In your world is evil black and white? Is there a devil or a dark lord corrupting the world? Or is it more subtle and advanced than that?

Are any beings in your setting pure evil? Or do all things have shades of grey?

In Re: Shattered Memories, the souls of the dead go to the Underworld, which is ruled by Arawn, the God of Death.

The Fae live in Otherworld, where they are recycled into new forms & will outlive the earth itself. Mortals will reunite with the Divine, where everything is strange & new, after eons of separation since the end of the Golden Age (when all lived harmoniously).

#MythDecember In the Pentagonal Dominion, it's not a belief, but the facts of their cosmology: All people have a mind which dwells within their soul. The soul is an incorporeal but flexible 'copy' of their body. When the body dies, the soul rises out. Shinigami (servants of the Death God) take souls

This is not a question explored in the 5GC world outside of the beliefs of the TCH.

Interestingly, it's also not much explored, outside of a breif mention of a "river of souls" in the fantasy... during which our MC actually goes to Hell (which is, apparently, not an afterlife.)

We’ve talked about after lives but what about the piece that keeps people together, is it a soul?

Are people only powered by the beating of their heart or is there a magic inside them as well? What happens to it when people die can it be harnessed?

What do people believe?

In the universe of all my stories, particularly the magical/supernatural ones, Toads are associated with dark magic, lechery, ickiness, gross/bad manners, revulsion, and the grotesque.

Day 28
Hyenas are associated with the Shepherd of Dust, the patron yazata of alchemy, death, and the Kimian Empire as a whole. They are seen as divine alchemists (since they "transmute" dead flesh into sustanence for life).

Geese have mythological associations in Re: Shattered Memories, mostly due to being the steeds of the Wild Hunt.

Many animals went extinct with the cataclysm, and animal life is strictly monitored and regulated. There are few “wild” animals, save for rats and a few species that went feral and various planets.

But Earth’s biodiversity is remembered in myth, fable, and iconography…🧵

Today let’s talk about animals and how they influence myths.

Does your world have any domestic animals with myths about them? Did these myths start before their domestication?

Do any wild animals have myths surrounding them? Are these animals magical?

It is commonly believed that the Philosopher's Stones can grant agelessness and regenerative healing. The demagogue Kir Nikbin, who synthesized several Stones, further claimed he had been blessed with resurrective immorality.

I havent given much thought to the most common beliefs about the afterlife in the Commonwealth. I think most folks believe in something a bit undefined and most accept that legacy left behind is the best way to think of what matters after death.

But the TCH definitely…🧵

In Re: Shattered Memories, the most common way to become immortal is to ascend to divinity. There are other ways, but that is the most well known.

In the world of Nequinum, the only place where you can neither age nor die, is the island of the Jubilant Garden; time is frozen there, and the fruit of the trees slows down your age and restores you to full health and strength.

Today we will address immortality and the length people go though to get it.

Are there myths about becoming immortal in your setting? Places like the fountain of youth or things like the peaches of immortality?

Even if it’s not possible do people still try?

The Five Dark Lords myth asserts that immortal god-kings are conspiring to mold human civilization. The Lords' identities change with the times, but Archon Kadmos has been named as one since the Kimian Empire's founding.

The world of Síderon was once home to a precursor civilization known as the Eldest. Their ruins litter the world, and line between their sufficiently advanced technology and the truly mystical is very difficult to draw.
