I discharged some of the color out of a length of purple worsted wool, then redyed it with red madder. The wool became nicely felted in the process and now displays broad striations of vivid red alternating with irregular bands of soft violet. Measures 59 in long, 11 in wide.
It's been pretty cold here in the PNW, so I made a thick, warm scarf from felted wool. Available soon in my shop. Details in ALT text.
