For several years now, I have been asking the city manager of #CDNNDG, & my local #NDG councillor, to improve #PedestrianSafety at a dangerous T-intersection that many cars sail right through without properly stopping. The city manager "solved" the problem by declaring that intersection to be safe.

I asked interim CDN-NDG mayor Sonny Moroz a question about what #CDNNDG is doing to provide emergency overnight shelter for #homeless people, inc. #NDG residents who were temporarily homeless thanks to recent power outages.

He answered very well.

Residents say owners knew of safety risks months before NDG evacuation An engineering report commissioned by the owner and dated Nov. 3 described the building as critical and called for the immediate evacuation of all occupants.

When I say "here", I don't mean Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough aka CDN-NDG in general, because there a good number of #SpeedBumps in #CDNNDG, as well as zebre stripe #PedestrianCrosswalks, I mean the intersection of de Maisonneuve & Grand Boulevard.

Speaking of #SpeedBumps being "a sign of an organized neighborhood", that mean neighbors (to say nothing of politicians. . .) "cared enough to do something", my neighborhood's city councillor has yet to install a #SpeedBump or even a zebra stripe crosswalk here.

We've lost thousands of dollars because of bike path, N.D.G. church says Church says attendance has dropped because people can't find a place to park.
