Waves and Diamonds bead crochet necklace lying on a stone slab above three coordinating bracelets. Each piece is a sinuous tube of sea green seed beads and black seed beads that is closed into an apparently seamless loop. The pattern on the necklace slowly shifts through 11 different designs in which congruent shapes in green and black interlock. As the name suggests, some of these designs are more curvy with interlocking spirals, while others are variations on diamond checkerboard tilings. Each of the three bracelets takes one of the tilings from the necklace and repeats it over the entire bracelet.
A different version of the Waves and Diamonds necklace, made with fewer, chunkier seed beads in white and blue. While the black and green necklace uses size 11/0 seed beads, this necklace uses larger size 8/0 seed beads. The pattern for these necklaces appears in our book, linked in the post. The necklace is lying on red brick, which offers a nice color contrast.
More bead crochet: the Tricolor Transformation Necklace surrounded by five coordinating bracelets. As in the Waves and Diamonds necklace, the pattern on the necklace gradually morphs between 11 different regular three-color tilings, with designs that include interlocking spirals, diamonds, zigzags, and hexagons. The fact that both necklaces have 11 different tilings is a total fluke. The whole jewelry set is made from off white, brown, and lavender seed beads in size 11/0. This pattern is also in our book, along with those several other necklaces and SO MANY bracelets.
