The photo shows a row of brick buildings with fire escapes in New York City. The ground floor houses various shops. At the top of the building complex is a graffiti tag reading "Alice One".
The square photo is black and white and has a white frame.

Some great #Nikon bodies with #WINDERSFORLIFE - the #NikonFA, #NikonD7000, and #NikonF4!

I have a #NikonD7000. I use MF lenses usually, but my Samyang 85 1.4 doesn't display the correct aperture. When I have it set to 1.4, my camera shows it as 2.8.

Does anyone know a solution to this?

Landscape format. A view of the River Thames from its north bank, looking across to Gravesend. On the stretch known as Gravesend Reach, a dredger, City Of London, is carrying building material up river. To the lower part of the image the wash of the ship makes small wavelets on the shore, while the ship itself is in near silhouette in the centre of the image. The town of Gravesend is a lighter grey, across the river. Shot in mist, giving the whole image a soft, dark haze. Nikon D7000 and Tamron 70.0-300.0 mm f/4.0-5.6

Landscape format. A photo taken on the north bank of the River Thames, below East Tilbury Marshes. On the left of the image, at the bottom, a bridge linking moored barges to the river bank: used for trucks to carry earth dug from London's Crossrail project, which is being spread over a now disused landfill site. To the right is a figure, in silhouette with his back to the camera, perhaps looking at a mobile phone. He is standing on rough ground. Again on the left, and also in silhouette, large mechanical structures, the coal excavators at Tilbury B power station. The power station and excavators have since been demolished and removed. The photo is shot into backlit mist and dust, leaving strange patterns in the air around the lone figure. The picture is monochrome greys. Shot on 13 September 2013 using a Nikon D7000 and Tamron 70.0-300.0 mm f/4.0-5.6 lens.

Landscape format. A view of the south bank of the River Thames. The grass bank slants slowly upward from left to right; at the top of the bank and to the right of the image, a gray pony is grazing. Above the pony and filling the rest of the image, puffy clouds are massing. Beyond Gravesend, Kent, where the river defences end, the river bank is largely grassland, raised slightly before the foreshore, with lower marshland immediately inland. There was a herd (?) of semi-wild ponies, often numbering 30 -40, which roamed and grazed along several miles of the river. I passed them often; they weren't much interested in me so I'd say they were no risk...I don't know why they were there, although, as it's not unusual to place grazing animals on grassy places where people roam/hike/wander (they keep the grass short) I suppose that's why. I always enjoyed seeing and hearing them.

Landscape format. Taken on 10 September 2013. A car, parked at the corner of Albion Parade, Gravesend, Kent. Albion Parade is a street of run down workshops in Gravesend, close to the River Thames. Behind the car is a stucco wall, to uts left the same, but with a doorway, then a window, boarded over. The window has a cartoon figure with a roll-up cigarette in its mouth, pethaps a spliff...the car is parked on an area with square paving and tufts of grass. The car itself is a Russian Gaz 21 Volga, a medium size saloon, quite attractive to my eyes but in need of some renovation, like the place it is parked. I don't know what the car was doing there or what happened to it: I didn't see it again. I hope it was someone's project and it has been restored to its full glory. The River Thames, which Gravesend is 'upon' is the longest river entirely in England, as the Volga is the longest river in Russia. Taken using a Nikon D7000 with a 18.0-105.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.

Landscape format, black and white. A bicycle in the River Thames, low tide, so resting on the mud, surrounded by water. Pieces of cloth are tangled up with the handlebars and behind the pedals. It may be there as the result of an innocent experiment to measure how far, if at all, a person can ride upon a tidal river, over water and/or deep mud; or it may have been put there by a miscreant, perhaps not even the owner of the bicycle. Taken using a Nikon D7000 with a Tamron 70.0-300.0 mm f/4.0-5.6 lens.

Landscape format. Shot 'against the light'. Looking up the River Thames from Canvey Island The lower part of the image shows the River Thames, silvery, with the river wall in near black and, on the foreshore, and angler woth a companion sitting just to the right. Above, a lighter view of Tilbury B power station and its 2 chimneys and above that a pale gray sky. The power station has since been demolished. Taken on 7 October 2013 with a Nikon D7000 and Tamron 70.0-300.0 mm f/4.0-5.6. Canvey's a lovely, fascinating place...!

Landscape format. Against a blue sky, 3 strands of barbed wire and at the bottom of the frame the top of a concrete wall. A red and white plastic bag has caught on the highest strand or barbed wife; the bag is torn and ragged and blowing in the wind. The wall and barbed wire belong to a water treatment site at Longreach, on the River Thames, below Dartford Marshes. Taken on 20 April 2013 using a Nikon D7000 and 18.0-105.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.

Landscape format. The lower half of the image shows two yellow dumper trucks parked on a flat expanse of white chalk with ridges of rough chalk either side. Above them is blue sky with wispy cloud. The site is a former factory (and before that, pleasure gardens...) cleared following the demolition of many buildings. The site has been covered over with layers of spoil from the digging of Crossrail in London and the Thames Tideway super sewer; the trucks are engaged in spreading chalk over dirt, followed by a final layer of more dirt. Now, a housing project, Cable Wharf (the factory made heavy duty cables) overlooking the River Thames. Shot on 21 July 2013 using a Nikon D7000 with 18.0-105.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 kt lens.
