The City Council is pushing back against the Adams administration's decision to bring ICE back to Rikers Island. On Thursday, the council passed a resolution enabling Speaker Adrienne Adams to pursue legal action against the mayor for violating New York City's sanctuary city laws—specifically the 2014 law that kicked ICE agents out of City jails in the first place.

Our shitty Council could've saved some time by pursuing legal action against #OfficerAdams year ago for the many pieces of legislation that he's disobeyed. Like the Street Master Plan, for example.
