Has anyone ever migrated a macOS system that uses #OrbStack, including Docker volumes and images, to a new device?

I'm a bit concerned about the sparse 8TB file at ~/.orbstack/data/data.img, and what TimeMachine does with it. Issue tracksr of Orbstack predicts some woes?!

Set up a #Docker Compose stack with #Jellyfin this week using #OrbStack and am slowly ripping all our media onto the server. I also have #Calibre via Calibre-Web-Automated set up, and my sister and I are planning a music server.

Migrating to #OrbStack was one of the best QOL changes in my dev environment in a while. I had to migrate back to docker from Podman, however this thing is so much better than DD or PD. I will be happy to part with those $8/month.

It's OSX-specific and there's no need for an intermediate VM

Disclaimer: I don't exactly love Docker/OCI (or at least not as a default).

With that said OrbStack is a dramatically better time if you've got to do it. I'm not a heavy Docker/OCI person just at the moment, so YMMV, but do yourself a favor and try it out.
