I've decided to remove all food 🙃. I don't want mama finch infection spreading to others. They keep checking. Had mom put some Eucalyptus and rosemarry in bowl area after sanitizing again. Maybe one will nest there.

Rouen ducks originated in France and were further refined in England in the 19th century. Rouens are significantly larger than Mallards, with mature males weighing about 7 pounds and females about 5 pounds.

Photo of Brown Pelicans. They were feasting as a family. Once listed as federally endangered due to DDT impacts, they have since recovered and were removed from the endangered species list in 2009 after the pesticide was banned.

California Brown Pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis californicus), subspecies of the Brown Pelican. A large magnificent bird. On this day, I viewed at least a hundred of them. 🪶 They can be pretty intimidating yet peaceful.
