The long Line 2 trains have a big middle section with no doors. To help, stations have that area of platform studded with moveable bollards, each stickered with a “no touching” symbol. Except these things are insanely attractive to play with. I mean come on. Yet another Ottawa absurdity. And yes of course I did. Once.
Took a few minutes to ride Ottawa’s Line 2 and Line 4 trains this week. Didn’t have time for the full line so it’s an incomplete adventure.
Line 2: looong new diesel trains. Nice. Still has absurd single-track segments limiting service frequency.

For months, been waving at @oc-transpo.bsky.social drivers as the train pulls into the station, and it finally paid off! They smiled, waved back (safely! Line one, Blair-bound, East, at about 5:20pm, Friday, May 2.
Must be a lonely gig at times. Never hurts to share a wave.
