A fantastic pair of auspicious antique Chinese export silver Buddhist wedding bracelets. Entirely handmade hand repoussage (each is a little different), and with incised details at fronts - each is 3.75” wide at top, and fits up to a 7.5” wrist presently, and the pair weigh over 5 ounces! A complex design featuring at center a Buddha sitting on a lotus flower which represents purity, enlightenment, and detachment from the material world, mirroring how the flower blooms untainted from muddy water. The seated Buddha has a hood of snakes symbolizing divine protection, deep spiritual wisdom, and transformation. This imagery is rooted in the Buddhist legend of Muchalinda, the Naga (serpent) King who protected the Buddha from a violent storm for seven days following his enlightenment. At either side of Buddha are roaring dragons (unseen in this photo) which symbolize power, strength, prosperity, and good luck.

Elaborate entirely handmade pair of wearable art earrings formed from sterling sheet that has been hammered and given various patterns of texture, and with applied 14K gold textured sections and blue enamel at centers of the drops! Measure 2-1/8" long by 1-1/4" wide, and weigh 15.3 grams total. Marked at backs, “925” for sterling silver, and a worn maker mark that I don’t recognize. Excellent vintage condition.
