The satellite and radar over the Northland at 4 p.m. on April 8, 2026, shows a line of showers, containing a mix of rain, sleet, and snow in the Boundary Waters and northern half of the Arrowhead regions, and all rain extending south across the Twin Ports and northwest Wisconsin regions. This line of precipitation is moving to the east. There is a small break in the cloud cover just entering the Rainy River Basin, with more precipitation in northwest Minnesota, ready to move into the Northland Wednesday evening and overnight.

The satellite and radar over the Northland at 1:30 p.m. on April 8, 2026, shows cloudy skies across the region. A line of showers covers the Rainy River Basin, Iron Range, and the western part of the I-35 Corridor regions. It is moving to the east/northeast. Most of the precipitation is rain, but some snow and sleet is mixing in north of Highway 169.
Temperatures in the Northland just after 1 p.m. on April 8, 2026, range from 28 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The upper 40s and 50s are being recorded in the northwest Wisconsin, I-35 Corridor, and Upper Peninsula regions.
