A series of mounted black and white photographs I did for a pocket charm book im making. Historical photographs of tattooed femmes I admire, Marsha P Johnson (godmother of queer rights), Whang-Od (the oldest living filipino traditional tattooer), Georgia O'Keeffe (one of my favorite painters. And a series of semi nude photographs of myself that I thought were powerful. One of me with my knees bent seated on the ground in a pair of velvet platform strappy pumps. One of me on my knees in bed in a mesh floral robe smoking a joint. And two of me in sunshine in my backyard wearing a black mesh dress, my breasts are painted with sunlight, im holding a wish flower in one and crossing my fingers in the other.

A picture of a graphite drawing. It's a tattoo I drew up of a thorny rose stabbed through an ornamental valentines heart. The drawing is posed near a bunch of other rose studies I created this flash drop using reference pictures I took from a rose garden when I went to Ashland OR a few years back in the spring to see plays at the Oregon shakespear festival. The city was stunning and covered in gardens and rose bushes. I couldn't help taking dozens of reference photos to work from. So glad I finally got to revisit those photographs. The drawing is mounted with pink washi tape. It rests on my wooden kitchen table next to a ceramic hand that I use to store rings but pictured here without any rings. There is also a cebu blue eppipremnum pinatum vine hanging nearby plus a dreamy and romantic beam of sunshine came into the scene toward the end of photographing all my new flash.
