I've been hesitant to say I'm writing a book (anxiety, don't want to jinx anything, not sure, etc.). But I've made an important decision. No more hedging. I'm writing a book! I can finally see its shape & contours. Now to get it done!

I've been re-listening to the audiobook of the first of Sarah Caudwell's Hilary Tamar mysteries, and it occurs to me that there's a #QueerBibliography paper to be written about the role of textual criticism in these very queer books. (I don't have time to write it, but maybe one of you?)

I’ll be visiting the British Library, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Holkham Hall, the U of Leeds, the U of Nottingham, and the Bodleian Library in May to study 17thC manuscript books like this one from the Huntington!
