🧵7/? Next, I crossed over through the warren-like mall connecting several hotels to the #rensa2025 panel on non-elite women's writing. It was a delight to hear from the panelists about controversial 1660s Baptist hymns, amatory marginalia, spiritual meditations, & memoir as maternal remembrance.
It was a whirlwind of odd travel hiccoughs to get back to Sydney from the combined #shax2025 and #RenSA2025 in Boston. Having shaken off only about half of the jetlag, here are some thoughts and thank yous: (🧵1/?)

I’m really sorry I couldn’t honor my commitment to the #RSA and the #RenSA2025 organization to volunteer this morning. I hadn’t experienced this issue with the car before and had no reason to expect it. I was making good time and was already only about an hour away from Boston when it happened.

I guess my car had other ideas and wouldn’t let me go to #RenSA2025. And it’s Saturday and mechanics are closed. I was looking forward to meeting some of the good Early Modernist folk I follow here in person, and catching at least 2 or 3 panels. What a bummer.
