Interest check.

If I posted my attempt at revising the Arcane Archer subclass, would anyone be able to give constructive criticism? 🤔

We once defeated a boss epically by using hold person and landing crit after crit. Only later did I realize I would have needed hold monster instead. We definitely would have lost if we remembered that in the moment …

Had a game runner suggest all players should be checked regularly for cheating...

I say no. If someone's going to cheat, they will and if they're good they might even get away with it. Punish the ones you catch doing wrong, not everyone in your whole game.

Spent a bunch of time grinding through a #OwlHouse spell list matching them up to their equivalent in #dungeonsAndDragons to get our nephew in sync for #ttrpg since he's pumped about glyphs #ruleslawyer

Pathfinder hivemind. I need your aid once more. The feat "Nimble shield hand" does this allow you to shove, trip, disarm, etc. When you have a both a longsword and shield? I would assume it does. But what's your opinion/ruling? #Pf2e #Pathfinder #Paizo #RulesLawyer #ORC #Pathfinder2nd #Champion

It seemed like Dr. Will Kirby made a terrible decision on Deal Or No Deal Island. But he actually knew the rules better than anyone else and used it to mess with them! #DealOrNoDealIsland #DealOrNoDea... TikTok video by David Bloomberg

(2/2) Does that then mean that reflexive shield gives you the circumstance bonus to your Reflex DC as well? Rules as written that's what I'm reading at least. #Pathfinder #PF2e #Help #RulesLawyer #Pathfinder2nd

I'm dealing with a car dealership that is trying to pull some shady stuff after the deal is done.
I'm direct quoting the consumer protection act to them.

Honestly, being a DM and dealing with all the rules in D&D has made me really good at reading legal documents.

To all my rules lawyers and advocates.

Does the shortened text convey as much meaning as the long one? Tell me the loopholes and what you think rules as intended vs rules as written are. ;)

One for the TTRPG crowd.

The cat points out that the rules say "cats are not allowed on the counter".

D&D Sea Hag effect description:

Horrific Appearance. Any humanoid that starts its turn within 30 feet of the hag and can see the hag's true form must make a DC 11 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the hag is within line of sight, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the hag's Horrific Appearance for the next 24 hours.

I try *not* to be a #D&D #TTRPG #RulesLawyer, but... am I insane? This effect doesn't stack, does it? My DM threw a bunch of hags at us, and made us roll for each one. I tried to say that was crazy, because if I failed 3x, does that mean I have 3 fears to try to roll out of?

Call AND Trail? I call foul! That's one setting but entirely different games!

Like choosing Chess and Draughts 😉
