I've not really had much #Saperavi, but it seems to be gaining ground bit by bit. This one sounds and looks awesome.

Anthologist 'THE PLOT TWISTS' 2024 #clarevalley #saperavi- A native #Georgian variety. Inky purple, with a complex bouquet of liquorice & roasted beetroot. Superb big, rich mouthful showing bright plums, red berries, a hint of chocolate & a splash of vanillin oak on the enticing palate.

Anthologist 2023 #clarevalley "THE UNEXPECTED TURN" #saperavi/ #shiraz- a very rare but outstanding blend! Interesting bouquet of roast beetroot & earthiness. Gorgeous, big mouthful of black berries, vanillin oak & a splash of red berries on the superbly balanced ubber tasty palate.

Great to see four (!!) Georgian wines at Jacques, a mainstream German retailer, yesterday.

The #Saperavi bottle is single best selling bottle of red in the store, the salesman said. He laughed & confirmed it was Georgians who bought it as gift. And why not? It brings Georgian #wine to more ppl.

Unfiltered, moreish #Saperavi from #Georgia ’s Teliani Valley Winery 97 that paints everything it touches (tongue included!). Opaque, dark ruby-purple, bursting w/ intense ripe black fruits & baking spice, wood & tobacco hints. Juicy, acidic freshness ends w/ firm but beautifully integrated tannin.

The M&S Found Saperavi from Kakheti — the cradle of winemaking — is rich, smoky and hauntingly inky. A perfect Halloween pour for curious palates. 🍂✨

Gapsted Estate 2022 #alpinevalley #saperavi- Gorgeous bouquet of plums with a dash of roast beetroot. Big, rich palate with lashings of flavour, beautifully structed, great depth . Still very tight, needs plenty of time to show at its best. A DIVINE KEEPER!!
