When he was ailing from a raging fever shortly after arriving in Ishgard due to neglecting his health Haurchefant was there for him at every turn

Day 24: Fury
Haurchefant's death hit Y'sato hard. So much so in its immediate aftermath his grief and pain gave way to unbridled fury.
It was all he could do not to lash out, to spare Alphinaud such a display.

While posing for part 2 of my VN: Appropriation is currently at standby I want to share a couple pictures I have taken for it's beginning. A sneak peek.
I've fallen into a bit of a rut lately when it comes to my writing and VN's but I'm slowly crawling back up🔥
Somewhere in Shaaolani, or rather the little settlement known as Hhusatahwi, G'raha finds himself idle. Waiting. In truth he is waiting for a certain someone. One he has bequeathed his very heart to. Y'sato. While they have explored much of Tural whenever the opportunity to do so arose they have yet to explore Xax Tural together, without any pressing matters or threats looming over their heads. True enough the levin dome remains a foreboding presence in the land, and there is yet much that remain unresolved in the matters of politics, but for now G'raha looks forward to the welcome respite. Just him and Y'sato, roaming new lands. An adventure, just like any other.
A midday sun blazes above, heedless to those who finds themselves beneath its scorching rays, ever at its mercy, critter and man alike. Not too fond of enduring such hostile temperatures unless he absolutely has to, G'raha has taken up refuge in the shade, standing just outside of the saloon doors. His staff is ever secured on his back, the blue luminous crystal forming its focus shining forth like a beacon, unwilling to allow the sun's radiance to steal the spotlight. It is an artifact Tataru retrieved from the Crystal Tower at his behest. Much like its very source of origin G'raha can always rely on it to illuminate the way forward. To empower him when he needs it most. A relic reminiscent of his time as the Crystal Exarch. Here in this humble town he has found himself for the better part of a bell, and already he can feel it in his bones. The telltale ache of standing still for too long, the needling restlessness. But more than that a growing unease takes hold around his heart, slithering under his skin. Around him the small town's occupants mills about like its any regular day, but something, or rather someone is still missing.
Impatience getting the better of him G'raha rises his knuckles to his chin in thought, his brows furrowing as he looks to the side. G'raha's thoughts: Curious. He should have been here by now. Is not like him to be late. And isn't that the truth. Y'sato has never been one to dilly dally. Far from it. In fact his uncanny ability to be there just when you need him most is something G'raha have always admired when it comes to his beloved. This, and so much more. For a blessing there is at least one item Y'sato rarely venture without. G'raha's thoughts: Perhaps I should try reach him by linkshell. Hmm? Ears askew he's distracted from his train of thought, and lips parting in inquisitive curiosity he looks to the disturbance.
In the scorching heat just to the side of the saloon, two members of the small settlement meet to engage in town gossip from the looks of it. Both are of similar physique known for sun seeker men. Miqo'te, or mystel as they are known on a different world entirely. Hhetsarro, G'raha quickly corrects himself. In these parts, they are known as Hhetsarro. G''raha tries not to pry or eavesdrop, especially since it was a falling of his once upon a time, hidden beneath the weight of his cowl in front of a shimmering crystalline mirror. A habit he was staunch in letting fall to the wayside when he once more set foot on the Source, but something with this has him ill at ease. His attention on the men he listens carefully. The shorter of the two, with distinct short green hair and dressed like a miner is the first to speak, his tone and manners both agitated. Anxious. Hhutepi: “I just reported it in to the Dustwatch. Hopefully I wasn't to late.” These words already have G'raha's undivided attention, but its the taller man's reply, his dark brown hair braided and dressed in a simple dark leather vest that has G'raha's ears prick up in alarm, his eyes wide. Luwyawa: “You're certain the man you saw was the one from Vow Wuk Lamat's entourage? The one whose allies helped fend of Zoraal Ja's attack?”
