The main feature, an almost flat and rectangular looking top stands above the base exposed by the low tide stretching beyond it to each edge of the photo. I’m guessing the top is about 10 - 15 metres above low tide sea level here.

Description as main post. About half a dozen Cormorants perch along the jagged ridge. The conditions were perfect for kayaking. If you like the diffused light and lower visibility that is. Turn and face the open sea and the horizon almost disappears, sky and sea almost indistinguishable grey / blue plays on our senses.
Out on a calm sea at low tide, wrapped in blanket ‘haar’, jagged rocks, an outcrop known as Black Rock w/ Cormorants
To the left a seabird flies towards us, in the classic ‘m’ bird shaped pose here, a foot or two above the water.
