Going through the last of my Florida haul. Here's a fishing anhinga with some commentary from Dad haha. You can see why they're called snake birds here, with the serpentine movements and the way the head is carried above the water.

On large yellow feet and legs, a Purple Gallinule strides over water on the green leaves of Spatterdock. Deep indigo feathers on the head and breast shade to turquoise on flanks, then olive on its back. With red eye, red and yellow beak and lavender third-eye spot, its colors are mesmerizing.
