I made sure to watch all the movies and specials. My favorites were Eight Riders vs Galaxy King and Kamen Rider ZO. I'm glad I decided to watch Showa Rider. I'll watch Showa Sentai sometime in the future, but I've had enough tokusatsu for now.

Black RX isn’t much like Black, but it’s not trying to be. The lighter tone is closer to previous series, but the sci-fi theme and environmental message keeps it very distinct. A great finale to the Showa Era TV series.

Fantastic. Great soundtrack, great effects, great characters. There's so much here I could unpack, but this is already one of my favorite riders of all time.

A lot better than I expected, honestly. Kazuya Oki's Shaolin techniques contrast well with Super-1's scientific powers. The ending was also pretty satisfying.

It’s unfortunately the first series I just didn’t care for. First it’s a 71 retread, then it’s all fan service, and the last third of the series is actually pretty good. But Skyrider never quite gets off the ground.

A lot more fun than I expected. I didn't much like Tackle, but I loved Shigeru. Great villains, especially Shadow, and the best finale yet.

Absolutely brilliant. Almost a total-shake up from the last series, and Amazon is incredibly charming. Also, quite brutal. I only wish it was longer.

Yet again, Kamen Rider continues to improve. Kamen Rider X leaves less of an impression due to it's shorter runtime, but the pacing is great, and it has the most memorable antagonists yet.

A significant improvement on the original. It actually keeps a consistent cast the whole way through. The pacing is better, but still incredibly inconsistent. Shiro Kazami is a fantastic protagonist.

#ShowaRider Series 1 - #KamenRider
This is a long one, but it's also the longest in the era. The original introduces a lot of elements that improve in later series. In spite of its slow pacing, and constantly removing background characters, the heart of this series is undeniable.
