We started by cloning a #Cas9 variant that we developed for Rhodobacter sphaeroides (doi.org/10.1186/s12934-019-1255-1) and that we managed to use (inefficiently) in C. necator (doi.org/10.1016/j.ymben.2023.06.015).
The gene was put under the control of the #SIBR system (10.1093/nar/gkab893) [2/n]
