Resisting all demands to leave the property, and defending themselves against 150 sheriff's deputies, the workers at #GoodyearTire in Akron, Ohio, began a #SitDownStrike on #ThisDayInHistory in 1936. Most were not even #union members, but they held out more than a month, winning.
