A photograph of Helenium known as sneezeweeds. They are daisy-like flowers. Yellow ones can be seen with petals pointing downwards and a mainly red one with hints of yellow is the tallest and main focus. A bee is in its centre of which are globe-shaped and a deep crimson colour. Two of the globes have started to turn yellow which they do as the flowers age. The background is out of focus green foliage.

This Common Sneezeweed flower has red, wedge-shaped petals surrounding its center of darker red and yellow disc florets. The leaves of this perennial wildflower are green and elongated.

Helenium autumnale ( #Sneezeweed). #Native throughout NA. Clusters of yellow #flowers bloom from summer through fall. Found in moist meadows. Prefers full sun and moist soils. Attracts native #bees. Dried leaves were crushed into a snuff to promote sneezing, hence the common name.
