Refusing to obey
Wipe away the senseless sweat
Endless night needs to end

a numb existence
going through the motions
but thoughts are detached

cradle the room in sunlight—
petals hush corners,
stems shepherd shadows,
leaves soothe restless edges,
the vase’s clear water drinks calm,
light washes each bloom,
walls hold tender watch,
floor yields under gentle care,
