We go on photography adventures a lot, and I truly love blue hour and sunrise for my captures. On this day, the Colorado skies were off the charts. So much changed in the 45 minutes of sunrise at this location that it almost seems fake, but there I was. I've traveled the world looking for amazing things to capture, only to discover some of the most amazing things...are just up the road a piece. Thanks for stopping in today! In this capture, the clouds hide an otherwise amazing blue sky with just enough cloud cover to look like a fluffy blue pillow with shards of white sunlight trying desperately to escape the clouds and illuminate the lake. As the clouds shield the world from the sun...farther off in the distance, the clouds have broken and the orange lit horizon announces...."GOOD MORNING" to the farms and early risers! Reflecting all of this color, Windsor Lake hides a couple of early morning pelicans staking claim to a floating log that appears to be prime real estate on the water. We're planning a trip back to this location very soon. I hope the Gods will present a gift like this once again!
