I heard a number of times at #SPR2021 that 'multilevel models deal w #MissingData'.

They may do that, under certain assumptions, for the dependent variable. They never address missingness in independent vars.

Many good resources, but e.g. into to this:

Interesting human development/ management perspective offered by Susan Douglas on #FeedbackTools at #SPR2021:

The literature focuses a lot on development of systems & how to implement/ change organisations.

But what about maintenance of systems in the longer run?

The #SPR2021 panel starts w key questions regarding how to implement #ROM.

One aspect are the resources required (time + finances) to set up a system at all.

Prominent at the conference is the free TTN system (reduces the resources to "time πŸ˜…)

Any attendees of the #EUSPRMETHODS:
You can revisit some of the work Johann Kleinbub discussed at the poster "Physiological synchronization (PS) & micro-process measures"!

It shows that PS seems to be associated w supportive elements of the therapist's speech.

A key problem when implementing routine outcome monitoring are the resources required for the underlying system.

Feedback & routine outcome monitoring research was mainly non-experimental. Great to see #RCTs & eg @Pauline59425712 presenting #SPR2021 clients achieved the same amount of symptom reduction in fewer sessions with intensive feedback:

But what is the role of patients (carers, dependents...) in our research?

From my cursory view of talks & posters:
a lot of [3]
a tiny bit [2,4].
I would be interested to visit examples of [1,5]!

The idea of databases of how to measure certain research domains is getting more attention. I like the #SPR2021 #poster Ahn et al "Assessing the Western Components of Psychotherapy", a pilot to develop a database of constructs that capture the β€œwesternness” in psychotherapy.

Need to work on this for @SPRtweets conferences:

F2F:
(+) panels overrun & (+) indepth discussion
(-) less time to chat & get food, drink etc.

Virtual:
(-+) panels end on time
+ all the flexibility to fulfil basic needs.

How do we max (+++) from both formats?
