The walls of the nave of the cathedral are painted by the light passing through the stained glass windows. When I walked into the church, it took my eyes a minute or two to adjust from the bright sunshine to the dimly lit interior. I first noticed that the widows were covering the floor with colorful light. Then I looked up to the walls. The stained glass in this cathedral doesn't seem to be used to tell biblical stories like some. Here it seems to create and celebrate beauty. At least that's how this non-Christian sees it.

I finished this silly #Lunar #Mothman #stained_glass hanger for my neighbor.
I added 3D overlays for the antennas, simple wire legs & gass globs. The #glass choice turned out nice. The #Moon is iridized.
Backstory. My clients daughter loves #lunar_moths and the Mothman character.

I just received an inquiry into recreating these "Tuscany Vista" #stained_glass French doors. One of my favs.
Backstory, My client went Tuscany every year, but they couldn't one year, so they commissioned me to recreate their favorite spot.

Mr. #Stained_Glass #Peacock is coming along nicely.
I fine-tuned & copper foil wrapped almost all the pieces today.
The stained glass colors are muted because there's no backlight. But when there is it will really pop.
Tomorrow, I will solder, frame, apply a copper patina, sign & call it done!

I made good progress on the #stained_glass #peacock.
All the pieces are cut, so next will be fine tune grind and do some saw cuts.
The first pic is muted backlight/reflective light, and the second photo is just reflective light.

After a week off, I'm finally back in the studio today and worked on the #stained_glass #peacock commission. So far, so good.
And a great new commission waiting is restoring and recreating multiple beveled glass panels for a local 1889 Victorian home restoration.
