Standel Custom 202 hollow body electric guitar - 2 pickups black finish. This is an extremely cool and very rare guitar! It's a Standel Custom 202, 2 pickup, thin-line, hollow body, electric guitar from 1967. I believe the guitar to be completely original. It has Kluson Deluxe tuners, a two-way adjustable bridge, heavy duty vibrato, adjustable truss rod, and individual pickup controls (off/on.) The body is fiberglass similar to Supro's Res-O-Glass bodies. The bridge pickup has a twangy sound that's great for country or surf sounds. The neck pickup is very full and jazzy sounding and both together have a 60's pop sound. The serial number is stamped on the base of the fretboard the same way Mosrite did. The frets are in good shape. Here's the minuses: there's is a slight bit of fret buzz and a very minor bow to the neck but it plays just fine. The body has some scratches but nothing serious. There is a rough area on the body nearby the control knobs. Also part of the "f-hole" has torn off. The price reflects the condition. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
