I'm grateful that, despite the terrible effects of #StormDarrah, my home & animals have escaped unscathed. The damage to the trees will impact greatly here. I have to think positively though... new habitat and more light into many parts.....

A river, swollen by heavy rainfall, flowing through a picturesque town. The water is full of rapids and beneath the distant hills is a historic steam railway.

Rainfall from #StormDarrah impacting the #RiverDee in #Llangollen. Lots of localised flooding in the catchment too, and as it turned out, also much colder than it looked!
Finally got our power back. I feel so sorry for people who are really suffering from the effects of #stormDarrah - flooding and no power. Old people and those with young children, vulnerable people. My heart goes out to you 💔
Cobwebs are certainly blown off!!! Gusty winter walk on the Chevin with the youngest. Thankfully #stormDarrah was louder than his moaning 😂
Day 8; #ChristmasEarringCollection & activity spreading jingle joy with gold bells (that really do tinkle when shaken) in the ebb of #StormDarrah & sparkle with a glittery #ChristmasJumper 🔔🎄✨

A large blown-down pear tree lying on its side across a back garden. Its roots have ripped a big gash out of the lawn.
We knew last night that our pear tree was gone but couldn't see the full situation in the dark.
Ma just texted to ask "how's the tree?"
Um....

Hmm. Good start to my Sunday. Thanks #stormdarrah
Oh Baby Dog, it was an horrendous day, & even today, #StormDarrah is still with us. I had to go out yesterday to meet friends along Worthing seafront & it was wild! You & mum be careful when walking because of the trees. Enjoy your walk in the wind & you’ll be full of beans when you get home! 👍🐶❤️💋xx

Fairly wild outside, but nothing above “horrible” so far #stormdarrah
A huuuuge tree, that was in striking distance of crushing me, was chopped down today.
Good timing #stormdarrah
