As we walked into the gateway to the Necropolis in Glasgow, we were greeted by a single beam of sunshine lighting up this tree, and I couldn't resist this capture. The colors of Scotland are surreal to begin with, and this display of greens and yellows of early spring, combined with the moss and lichens, really made this a magical moment.
To say that seagulls are opportunists would be an understatement, and this nest perched precariously on top of this tombstone is a prime example. They seem to love rooftops already, but this one to me is a bit pointy, I guess that's why I'm not invited to seagull nest building adventures. This Kirk was located in Selkirk, Scotland, and had several very interesting subjects in it, and links to an American president, even! You should go!!
