The first issue of the #CherokeePhoenix was published on #ThisDayInHistory in 1828. It used the #syllabary script developed by #Sequoyah. But being one of the so-called #FiveCivilizedTribes did not protect the #Cherokee of Georgia from an act of #genocide under #AndrewJackson.

If you don't like it, you can write another. It's only 17 syllables. An average #syllabary has at least 50-100 characters while some exceed 1000.
