I’ve never thought of myself as
an unhappy writer,
but being asked to write
in a style that
isn’t mine
makes me restless—

the sides of the mattress:

I have a braided #tankaprose incl. 6 #tanka which I would have loved to submit to the tanka prose contest by The Tanka Society of America. But I can't. The reason? 'A maximum of three tanka' are allowed. Rules! Ugh. #Rules should never stiffle innovation and good writing. Full stop.
