This is a solid B movie that knows what it is, and commits to the bit.
It encapsulates the paranoia of the era.
The casual misogyny (women are emotional wrecks who must be saved by men), the authority figures, Hollywood as stoned jackasses who produce harmful, heterogenous sludge.
