feat. Ruru and Nico. Two versions cause I couldn't decide which colors I liked better

This illustration is titled "Desire" because it represents what Nico and Ruru want of each other. In the first image the red threads are a reference to the "red string of fate" that ties soulmates together; its over appearance indicates the overwhelming desire for it. But Nico leaning over Ruru, with his hands posed as a puppeter, indicates a need of control. To keep Ruru right where he can direct him. Meanwhile on the second image, the red strings serve to tie both pictures together. Ruru tearing out Nico's heart is a metaphor of his desire to find out all his feelings as well as to control them. The red on Nico's neck and near his collarbones is blood leaking out after Ruru has drank from him.
