#TheForeverWar comments on the military & societal changes in interesting (yet ironically dated) ways. With that comes a protagonist who pointedly lacks agency plus a fairly standard love interest. It’s worth it for world-building but not for much emotional investment — 3/5 Stars

I’ve been reading #TheForeverWar, written by Nick Bryant, in the lead up and during the US election. It really helped me to understand how a monster like Trump could win. I’m still disturbed and demoralised by the outcome, but I recommend this book if you’re struggling to make sense of the US choice
