Been watching the #AnneRice TV series. #InterviewWithTheVampire is frankly excellent. #TheMayfairWitches is . . . not. There are flashback scenes to 16th/17th century Scotland, but I think that not one of the actors has ever heard a Scottish accent in their lives.

Season 3 of #InterviewWithTheVampire needs to come on. That's a good show! I don't know if I want to watch #Talamasca it looks boring. I couldn't get into #TheMayfairWitches . But Interview with the Vampire, that's my ish!

Finally watching #TheMayfairWitches tv series and dear goddess it’s deliciously wicked! Far more grounded than I expected but still giving that sense of creeping dread and gothic horror vibes I remember from reading the books. Starting Episode 2 now and hungry for more!

Despite veering wildly away from the source material (and probably for the better, in some respects), this second season has been a solid improvement on the first. And it ends in some ways that could make for an interesting and exciting third season. #themayfairwitches

The action moves to Scotland as Rowan and company try to hunt down Lasher. In the meantime, they encounter the other side of the Mayfair family, and it's not a comfortable reunion by any means. The episode delivers on the creepy folk horror undertones pretty well. #themayfairwitches

Between her and Jen Richards, this whole thing has me feeling unable to weave. #TheMayfairWitches

Easily the worst episode of the season thus far. There are some important scenes here and there, but in between, there is a ton of padding. The writers seem to think that the Mayfair family politics are compelling, but they have yet to make them so. #themayfairwitches

One would think that the sudden murder of several Mayfairs would get the attention of the authorities. Then again, so much of what happens with the family is "off the books", so why not an apparent serial killer? Alas, they know who it is; the question is how one stops Lasher. #themayfairwitches

I don't remember the source material very well after "The Witching Hour", so I can't say if this is a good adaptation of the second book or not. But it does feel like they are trying to improve on the spotty first season. #themayfairwitches

So happy Anne Rice's #TheMayfairWitches is back for season 2.

Loved the first season, I am a sucker for supernatural/Gothic stories set in or around New Orleans, and the late Anne Rice's books were absolute scorchers and I am happy this streaming series is doing her work justice.

After binging both seasons of #InterviewWithTheVampire, we had to try #TheMayfairWitches. The story is engaging on its face, even as it substantially diverges from The Witching Hour, but it's a bit clunkier than IWTV. Alexandra Daddario is fantastic, though.

Was wondering if #TheMayfairWitches was as good as #InterviewWithTheVampire and I knew Jack Huston was in it and I figured at least he'd be hot but look how they massacred my boy 😭
