I was a young innocent child when the emotional, mental, and verbal abuse began. I walked through my life, choosing to be with narcissists, because they were familiar to me. The x's are the trauma and abuse. It grew darker as I got older. Now, I live in reality for the first time, learning to maneuver in it.

I stood helpless, watching my illusion of being loved, watching those I loved more than life itself, get sucked away as my reality replaced it all.

When I realized I had to distance myself permanently from them, the pain, the horrific grief were unbearable.

After my past abusers broke me, I was placed in crisis therapy and put on meds.

I started to paint, not only to document my journey, but to make sense of it all.

I dared myself to share a few here.

These are very personal, so please be kind.
